With 30 years of construction industry experience and, having specialised in sustainable and low energy construction since 2002, Alun first worked on a Passivhaus project, as a contractor, in 2008.
In 2018-20 he was Clerk of Works and Project Manager for a Passivhaus certified development of 34 social housing apartments and 4 houses for Linc-Cymru Housing Association. This experience led to Alun becoming a Certified Passivhaus Consultant in 2020 and launching Kalm Consulting Services.
Alun has also lectured part-time on building energy performance and sustainable construction at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David in Swansea and is currently the lead tutor for delivering the ERFIT theory.
