This course will teach you everything you need to know about flying a drone professionally, the GVC is a remote pilot competency certificate that provides a single qualification that is suitable for Visual Line of Sight operations.
Aligning with our continual learning programme taking the GVC course allows operators to improve their understanding of the new rules and regulations.
The course involves theory training, a multiple-choice exam and a practical flight assessment.

After you have completed the theory course, and flight assessment, Skeye Drone Training will provide you with a GVC. You will be able to operate a UAS (drone) by applying for your own CAA operational authorisation or using your GVC to operate under a third-party CAA operational authorisation.

Delegates will learn the essential skills and knowledge needed to operate a drone within the Specific Category. The GVC course introduces delegates to factors such as aviation law and basic principles of flight, plus flight planning and preparation.
The syllabus includes:

- Airmanship and Aviation Safety

- Meteorology
- Navigation and Charts
- UAS General Knowledge

- Operating Procedures
Delegates will sit a 40-question theory exam at the end of the course.
