Offsite Ready Webinars - 1, 2 & 3 September

The University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Construction Wales Innovation Centre (CWIC) are collaborating with a UK-wide network of project partners to deliver the Offsite Ready Training Programme led by the Construction Scotland innovation Centre (CS-IC). The project, funded by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), offers a range of free-to-access online learning resources and virtual training events to help grow best practice and skills in offsite construction.

Offsite Ready aims to develop knowledge and skills in modern methods of construction. It is also an opportunity for those delivering courses in Construction and the Built Environment in the education sector and industry to access free training in offsite construction. Offsite Ready offers 7 training modules (Offsite Fundamentals, Digital Design, Estimating/Commercial, Logistics, Offsite Manufacture, Onsite Placement & Assembly, Management & Integration).

Please note that we have rescheduled the next 3 webinars to take place in September, starting on the 1st September with Management & Integration and the Teaching Support System. 


Session 1 : The Fundamentals of Offsite Manufacturing

Offsite Ready Wales Webinars

Session 2: Management & Integration and The Teaching Support System,
1 September @ 10.30 am

In this webinar, we’ll cover the collaborative approach needed in site management for offsite from supply chain management to quality control. Catriona Jordan will also guide you through the teaching resources available through Offsite Ready.

Session 3: Offsite Manufacturing, Onsite Placement , Assembly & Logistics

2 September @ 10.30 am

In this session, we will introduce you to the key stages of the offsite manufacturing and onsite assembly processes of different offsite systems from site mobilisation to alterations and maintenance.  Also key to a successful offsite project are the logistics involved in getting all components to the construction site.

Session 4: Digital Design, Estimating & Commercial

In the last of our webinars, we’ll cover the various digital design tools that can be used in offsite construction; such as CAD/CAM, BIM-enabled software, and digital twins.  We will also look at the business operations of offsite construction including estimation, tendering, and procurement.
